Our Story
It all started when...
One day my father passed away unexpectedly. I didn't expect him to leave so suddenly and felt a lot of regret for not prioritizing my time with him. But even more so, I started digging deep within myself and asked where my life's heading and what my life's about.
am i doing what's meaningful?
I asked myself: am I pursuing what I feel passionate about or am I fulfilling others' expectations of me?
Looking back, I have developed multiple successful careers spanning academia, consulting, and corporate life working across the US, Asia, and Europe. I have "re-invented" my career many times. I feel fortunate to be able to travel, see the world, pursue my creative outlets, and have amazing family and friends. (See my personal website or publications / portfolio for more).
When I look around me, what creates meaning is the amazingly talented and diverse people who have journeyed with me.
How can I share more and make a greater impact on this world?
When I took stock of my life, I also realized that I was really passionate about social action and had traveled to Thailand, Cambodia, Turkey, Uganda, Mauritius, Mexico, and Guatemala to work with various NGOs when I was younger. I was also volunteering with many inner-city organizations in the US.
How could I do more of that now in helping others and making a difference in others' lives?
This was birthed when I sat and listened to moms sharing their dreams and wanting to pursue their passions that had been set aside when they had kids, men and women expressing doubts and fears on whether they could take risks for their dreams. As I started coaching them, I realized that making an impact sometimes doesn't require traveling half-way across the world (though sometimes it does). Life and career coaching can be a gift to others.
Moreover, I found many untold amazing stories of people around me. Over the years, I have gotten to know such a diverse group of friends across the globe and am part of artistic communities (artists, writers, and dancers). I have heard so many inspiring stories and want to share them so that others can also catch the spark...
This may sound cliche... Sometimes, taking the first step is not as drastic as I had first imagined and doesn't require quitting my job all together or making huge changes...It may just require a little faith and a small baby step at a time...
My first step is working with others to create this platform to share stories and inspirations, to empower others to find and achieve their dreams.
